The Company:
Our Client is a global Exploration & Production company focused on the increase of production and reserves, the geographic diversification of activity with increased presence in OECD countries, operational excellence and maximising the profitability of assets.

The Role:
- Set up the supply base in Spain, including choosing a suitable area; prepare the layouts of the pipe yard, laydown area, Dangerous goods, chemicals, etc in accordance with international HSE standards.
- Interview and choose suitable yard employees, check certificate and competency level of crane operators, forklift and truck drivers.
- Assess mobile equipment performance, certificates and condition.
- Assist contracts department in the technical assessment of tenders related to logistics services such as local logistics agent in Spain, Supply vessels, transportation & trucking companies, etc.
- Manage the day to day logistics activities including by implementing the highest HSE practices.
- Liaise on a daily basis with the Drilling team to supply equipment required offshore on a timely manner.
- Attend daily drilling conference call with D&C team, Rig and Main Suppliers involved in the project. Coordinate with suppliers to deliver equipment as required on a timely manner.
- Main focal point of the supply vessels and plan vessels movements in coordination with offshore drilling team.
- Coordinate with agent to arrange berth, fuel & water bunkering for supply vessels.
- Prepare Materials Load list in coordination with Drilling team and supervise Base personnel to ensure the required equipment are properly containerized, bundled and loaded onboard the vessel.
- Direct control of the logistics contractors who provide yard space, personnel, mobile equipment, customs clearance services, port operations, stevedores, trucking, freight forwarding, provision of fuel and supplies, etc.
- Ensure maximum utilization of Mobile Equipment & Personnel to avoid any unnecessary cost.
- Ensure logistics operations are conducted cost effectively and in accordance with international HSE standards.
- Participate in regular audits carried out on mobile equipment & drivers utilized in the operation (cranes, forklift, trucks, crane drivers, etc to ensure certification validity and maintenance programs are carried out).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- University education in Engineering, Drilling, Business, Economic or Finance.
- Over 7 years’ Experience like Logistics Superintendent for offshore drilling projects
- Knowledge of Spanish Ports, Maritime and HSE regulations
- Fluent in English and Spanish
