The Role:
The Loss Control Superintendent reports to the Loss Control Manager and dotted lined to the Director Marine Operations on a daily basis. This post holder has immediate responsibility for assisting in the efficient operation of cargo surveys.

The primary purpose of the role is to co-ordinate and provide guidance on day-to-day cargo and bunker surveying operations of the CLIENT Owned and Chartered fleet of LNG carriers.
The secondary role is to support oil discharge operations in the Far East. Ensure compliance with CLIENT procedures and applicable government laws and industry cargo measurement guidelines. Will work with internal and external contacts to include: Project Team management, shipping personnel, S&O, and all clients and organizations engaged in cargo measurement and SPA calculations.


Experience needed: Cargo inspection background required. Intimate knowledge of LNG & other cargo loss/gain reconciliation, knowledge of product specifications, inspection procedures, knowledge of LNG, other products (API) measurement guidelines The jobholder should ideally have marine and terminal experience, the ability to learn quickly and be able to adapt in a rapidly changing situation.
