The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Lead execution of the entire commissioning effort for the LQ and Ancillaries modules.

• Safety Leader and sets example for commissioning team members.
• Lead the LQ/Ancillaries commissioning team to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality execution scope while remaining on schedule.
• Lead participation in Commissioning risk management processes including HAZOP, JHA, and FLRA.
• Lead the on-site multi-discipline commissioning activities, including resource management, schedule coordination, materials/tools/vendor support, system/equipment troubleshooting, and adjusting plan due to resource issues.
• Area Manager for PTW/LOTO processes. Responsible for review and approval of all commissioning permits – and to ensure the management of these processes is being performed by competent personnel.
• Provide support, leadership and subject matter expertise to the commissioning team.
• Support the Construction and MC teams to deliver prioritized sub-systems for early commissioning opportunities.
• Lead execution and perform quality review and close-out of dynamic commissioning Method Statements.
• Ensure adherence to MOC procedures are rigidly followed.
• Assuring that progress towards commissioning milestones is monitored and adequately resourced to ensure team success.
• Assuring that the commissioning staffing plan has the correct number of persons with the appropriate skills to execute the commissioning work.
• Point of contact for Planning / Schedule coordination with Project Controls team.
• Resource (staffing & organization) management including review and approval of timesheets.
• Point of contact for Operations / Construction / Engineering / Certifying Authority interfaces.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 12 years commissioning experience, 6 years in a commissioning lead role.
• Proven experience in delivering project systems for acceptance.
• Knowledge of Completions Management Systems
• Proven leadership with ability to motivate a team and interface effectively with project management team.
• Ability to communicate and report to management positive and negative status of work with recommendations for actions if required.
• Proficient written and verbal skills to ensure clear and concise upward communication of issues
