The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company responsible for the Construction, Ownership and Operation of it's own Plants.

The Role:
1. Provide technical advice for sampling and analysis of equipment lubricants on a routine periodic basis (PPM), as well as oil filtering, oil reclamation, proper lubricant application selection and technical consultation for automatic grease systems, oil mist systems and lubrication related failure analysis.

2. Provide recommendations in establishing equipment specific maintenance strategies pertaining to: lubricant sampling frequency, proper lubricant sampling point / collection procedures and most effective analytical testing protocol for lubricant and application.

3. Ensure proper oil specifications are used to the required OEM specifications for different types of equipment.

4. Provide filtration and chemical treatment recommendations to restore oil fitness.

5. Troubleshoot lubricant delivery systems (oil mist and grease); scope repairs.

6. Design automated centralized grease systems.

7. Act as SME for RCIs involving lubrication issues.

8. Participate in and facilitates Root Cause Investigation (RCI) process as needed. Supports RCI action items related to further investigation and determine failure modes or actions items to implement solutions related to Equipment lubrication.

9. Improve MTBF of mechanical equipment through improved lubrication and practices

10. Evaluate impact and action related to lubricant availability and formulations changes. Provide technical guidance to/for purchasing.

11. Develop, track and report PPM - Lubrication metrics.

12. Ensure PPM- Lubrication is included and supports creation of facilities and equipment strategies. Ensure completion of gap assessments and gap closure related to PPM- Lubrication

13. Responsible for development & updating of PPM- Lubrication programs, methodologies and procedures.

14. Responsible for ownership and communication of results of PPM- Lubrication inspections.

15. Recommends best practices to improve products or services.

16. Define standards and specifications to be followed.

17. Work with plant personnel to provide input into development of equipment lubrication strategies.

18. Coordinate with OEM to ensure lubrication specifications practices are updated with applicable changes.

19. Ensure equipment lubrication history is readily available to support detailed mechanical analysis of components and assemblies as needed.

20. Provide technical support to site RE/ME & Mechanical Tech’s to perform advanced troubleshooting on equipment, analyze failures, determine causes and to determine solutions related to lubrication issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Accredited 4 year Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 11 years' experience in required technical/ functional field.
• Ability to speak and write English required. Ability to speak and write Arabic preferred. Preference will be given to qualified Saudi Arab candidate.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• CLS Certification in Lubrication
• Society Tribology Lubrication Engineering (STLE) Certification
• Experienced with equipment lubrication.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment and systems.
• A firm understanding of lubrication standards, specifications, philosophies, strategies, Loss Prevention Principles, and Approved Suppliers List
