The Company:
Our client is a large multi-national Oil and Gas Operator which explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, gas and sulfur. They pride themselves in conducting operations in accordance with the world–class safety and environmental standards.

The Role:
Provides engineering expertise for scoping, applying, designing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining rotating and reciprocating equipment. Supports continuous improvement of rotating equipment reliability, efficiency, and operability. Works across department boundaries to investigate, analyse, and resolve machinery reliability issues including process/operations solutions, maintenance/procedural solutions, and physical redesign/improvement solutions. Scope covers all production operations facilities in the Plant area which includes electric-motor, steam-turbine, and fired-turbine driven pumps, blowers, compressors, generators, and other machinery items.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
•Able to provide technical evaluation of new technology.
•Develops solution techniques for others to use.
•Experienced with bidding and award processes for major equipment items.
•Manufacturing contract oversight inclusive of managing all QA/QC, technical, cost, schedule, tracking and reporting.
•Contracts for and manages outside design resources when necessary.
•Counsels engineering staff and affiliated companies in design.
•Leader of an industrial standards or code committee (API, ASME) desired but not a prerequisite.
•Experienced as a role model and mentor.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT / DECISION MAKING:
•Effectively communicate and manage a multi-functional asset team or resources/counterparts across multiple functional Groups.
•Demonstrated business acumen and focus on combining technical, operation, and business factors in machinery issue resolution and recommendations.

LEADERSHIP:
•Demonstrated leadership, communication teambuilding and mentoring skills. Must be self directed and capable of establishing new function and related processes in a culturally diverse organization.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10+ years experience and extensive knowledge of oil and gas processing design and large rotating equipment (i.e., gas turbines, compressors and pumps).

Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from major university / or equivalent
