The Company:
A Major Operator

The Role:
Implement the Project - Site Inspection Surveillance Plan within the sub-project(s), where necessary.
Assist in the initial assessment of the Contractor’s Quality Program, control procedures and ITPs as they relate to this specific discipline.
Perform periodic assessments of Contractor’s:
Receiving inspection of rotating equipment arriving at site.
Warehouse/Lay-down area utilization to segregate materials prior to use.
QA/QC oversight for installation of all rotating equipment (e.g. special purpose compressors, extruders, pumps, fans, mixers, agitators, rotary valves, etc.)
QA/QC of machinery commissioning activities (e.g. lube oil flushing, run-in, SAT’s, motor solos, etc.)
Monitor Contractor to ensure resolution of DR/NCR/CAR’s in a timely manner.
Verify resolutions for DR/NCR/CAR’s are in accordance with authorized dispositions.
Verify Contractor is obtaining the proper permits required for the work.
Witness selected testing and Hold Point as indicated in the Contractor’s ITPs.
Review selected Contractor inspection documents for completion and correctness.
Participate as an observer in selected Contractor internal audits.
Participate in punch-list preparation prior to final acceptance for turnover.
Participate in verification of completion of punch-list items prior to turnover.
Review selected Contractor final documentation packages.
Advise and inform the SQAL on Quality issues, status and metrics.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
QA/QC oversight for installation of all rotating equipment (e.g. special purpose compressors, extruders, pumps, fans, mixers, agitators, rotary valves, etc.)
QA/QC of machinery commissioning activities (e.g. lube oil flushing, run-in, SAT’s, motor solos, etc.)
Assist as needed with review of mechanical, operating and commissioning procedures
Possible FAT witnessing of pump tests at OEM shop
Shall understand and steward LOTO systems, including understanding of machinery safe work practices.
Shall have minimum 10 years’ experience as a senior machinery technician in an operating plant. This should include equipment commissioning and startup experience on major projects.
Leadership experience regarding construction coordination, including all aspects of major project mechanical systems.
Must have ability to work with diverse cultures and workforce
