Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Maintenace / Reliability Engineer to join our client's Stockport Office on a Contract hire basis.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait our client are undertaking major revamp and modification/upgrade projects to help modernize their client’s Main Gathering Center located in Kuwait with many sub-centers throughout the three main oil fields that require modifications and further expansion.

The candidate will be a Maintenance / Reliability Engineer with a proven track record in brownfield onshore oil and gas development projects to help support and grow a UK based project engineering design team that will execute FEED and detailed design projects as part of the overall modernisation project. Our client also handle most innovative projects involving Concept/ FEED studies, EPC Detailed Design Projects and Process Safety and Risk management as part of the overall project scope of works.

Good communication and presentation skills are essential. Some travel to Kuwait may be required.

A self-starting Maintenance/Reliability Engineer with extensive Oil & Gas plant experience gained in the oil and gas industry, preferably onshore oil and gas processing, to work as a member of a team of three –five engineers who make up the Operations Assurance team.

To deliver the Maintenance and Reliability FEED deliverables for the Gas Utilization Project (CGUP) Project. This is formulating strategies/plans/philosophies, establishing the basis for CMMS, developing ITB for the EPC phase and carrying out Studies.

Core Responsibilities:

Establishing the equipment criticalities,
Establishing equipment hierarchies
Developing the RCM process
Establishing training requirements,
Developing turnaround plans
Developing manning requirements
Development of asset management processes, systems, and procedures
Establishing the requirements for the CMMS
Develop maintenance data methodology and procedure
Establish maintenance plans
Develop removal and replacement procedures for Long lead items
Develop Equipment Standardisation procedures
Develop spare parts and special tools and stock holding procedures
Develop equipment preservation procedures
Involvement in mechanical and material handling studies and identifying handling requirements
Logistics and warehousing
Spare parts management
Asset management planning
Estimating
Participate in RCA’s, RCM, spare parts strategy work
Assist development and management of asset register

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Maintenance Engineer
Asset management System development
Procedure writing
Fixed and Rotating equipment expertise
Maintenance and reliability expertise
Offshore Oil and Gas Experience
Having Business Acumen
Able to interface with the client knowledge of SAP maintenance systems
Knowledge and expertise in applying Puwer and Human Factors
Coordinating 3rd party activities
