The Role:
Drive cultural change to improve maintenance effectiveness, specifically in the areas of reliability centred maintenance and defect elimination.

Manage and lead root cause analysis investigations for significant production losses on the UK assets, apply the Defect Elimination program and champion reliability improvement initiatives.

Defect Elimination
•Lead, assist and facilitate others in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
•Develop and track close out of mitigating actions identified by RCA.

Reliability Improvement
•Conduct reliability analysis to identify bad actors and eliminate defects in a systematic and sustainable way, using company data sources such as CMMS, PI Historian, production loss reports etc.
•Conduct reliability analysis and produce reports for safety, environmental and business critical elements.
•Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance to identify opportunities to maximise reliability and availability and also to share best practice across other operations.
•Develop tools and techniques to monitor and report on critical asset equipment operating status to improve production efficiency.
•Complete economic analysis in support of proposed reliability improvements.
•Undertake regular offshore visits to liaise with operations personnel.

Maintenance Strategy Development
•Carry out criticality assessments of equipment in accordance with established company procedures.
•Complete Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA) as required for critical equipment.
•Develop maintenance strategies, this includes compliance with any relevant legislation and company policies, standards and guidelines ensuring alignment with reliability based maintenance philosophy.
•Review, analyse and modify the on-going maintenance strategies and routines (including associated spares) to improve performance, backlog and production efficiency.
•Perform critical spares analysis and review sparing strategies as requested.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Core Technical Experience
• Application of defect elimination and root cause analysis techniques i.e 5-Why’s, cause mapping, TAPROOT.
• Experience in reliability analysis techniques including equipment criticality analysis, FMECA and calculation of equipment reliability/availability (MTBF/MTTR)
• Use SAP Plant Maintenance Module
o Review and analyse routine maintenance results
o Raise new notifications as necessary
o Provide technical input to new notifications or work orders as necessary
o Raise ZL notifications for all RCA actions
o Knowledge of SAP PM structure.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
• Experience in reliability data manipulation.
