The Company:
Our client is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, they are currently building an integrated oil refining and petrochemical operation by way of upgrading their oil refinery and constructing a new petrochemical complex. This joint venture has been in place since August 2005 when the project was established. This is an opportunity to work for and with one of the worlds leading oil companies in one of their major downstream projects.

The Role:
Who we're looking for:

• To plan and coordinate all maintenance activities in a section, in compliance with safety standards, with a view to create the least amount of disruption to operations
• Knowledge of static equipment, rotating machinery, instrumentation, electrical equipment, metals, building trades.
• Strong Planning skills.
• Communication skills
• Strong decision-making ability

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare maintenance plans for all equipment in the Section, identifying specific requirements, anticipated manpower, work hours and material
• Plan the annual plant shutdown maintenance in collaboration with Maintenance Department and Operations Coordinator, submit plan to Section Manager for approval and communicate plan to Operations Coordinator and Shift Supervisors
• Coordinate between Section Manager and Maintenance Department to prioritize maintenance activities in the Section and coordinates the implementation of scheduled maintenance programs
• Ensure that maintenance jobs meet requirements and complies with Inspection and safety codes, safety regulations, and maintenance standards
• Take immediate maintenance action in the event of emergencies such as fire or equipment failure
• Assist in the development of improved work methods, job simplification and standardization to eliminate unnecessary work and develop an optimum interval for performing maintenance work

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree.
• Experience in operations in a refinery or petrochemical plant.
• Progressively moved up in the ranks from Field operator to Shift Supervisor and then Maintenance Coordinator.
• Excellent English communication skills (Verbal and Writing).
• Advanced maintenance skills.
