The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
The job holder is the functional owner for delivery of tactical maintenance support to the three operated hubs within Europe E&P. Supporting the asset Operations Managers, the job holder co-ordinates the available onshore maintenance support resources to address day to day technical issues – ensuring appropriate prioritisation of support amongst the three hubs.
The represents the maintenance function within the ICE arena, ensuring appropriate risk mitigations are considered and appropriate management of the backlogs occurs.
The is expected to champion sustained improvements in and compliance to the work management process.

In addition to any specific accountability for HSSE, all managers are accountable for HSSE within their area of the Business and are responsible for ensuring that their team adopt exemplary HSSE behaviours.
The incumbent of this role is expected to demonstrate safety leadership through proactively leading both behavioral and operational safety.

In addition, the job holder is accountable for the following:
•Ensuring that risks and mitigating activities relating to the asset backlogs have been considered to minimise impact to the hub business plans and that backlog items have realistic schedule dates
•Review all maintenance activity work orders at T-Comp and ensure data is recorded appropriately and follow up actions are correctly documented
•Co-ordinating day to day onshore maintenance technical support to ensure timely and appropriate response to unplanned events
•Ensuring risks and potential mitigations are documented with Operations Managers for all deviations from equipment strategies within the annual budgets for the hubs
•Management & co-ordination of all maintenance activities within the 12 week window (in accordance with asset gate process) to ensure efficient execution offshore is possible
•Ensure appropriate discipline representation at weekly scheduling meetings
•Assign appropriate resources to participate in level 2 risk assessments for offshore permitting and supporting SCRA development with appropriate technical knowledge
•Compliance to local operating practices and standards
•Ownership of all maintenance entries within the ODRM
•Routine review of the asset life strategies with Operations and Asset managers.

The job holder is responsible for the following:
•Forecasting of safety critical figures for maintenance disciplines covering a 1 year horizon, ensure adequate risk mitigations are in place
•Deputising for the maintenance manager
•Agreeing daily maintenance priorities with the Operation Managers across the 3 hubs
•Representing maintenance interests in the implementation of the work management process on the hubs
•Using appropriate work management KPIs to influence continual improvement within each asset
•Carrying out weekly reviews with offshore MTLs to address immediate concerns, vendor performance and work management KPIs
•Representing the maintenance function at loss management / ODRM meetings

Line Manager approval would be required for issues such as:
•Appointment of personnel / personnel changes
•Approval of significant process changes
•Employment of additional headcount
•Deviations from applicable group standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Degree, or equivalent in a technical discipline
Chartered Engineer or equivalent preferred

Knowledge
•Experienced professional with operational and maintenance background in E&P, demonstrated through solid working knowledge.
•Has fundamental understanding and demonstrates mastery of maintenance principles and processes and has ability to oversee their implementation and long-term effective management.
•Knowledge and experience in the application of UKCS Regulations

Skills
•Highly sensitive to political internal and external issues, and has the skill set to manage these
•Effective practitioner of risk management
•Proven ability in managing emerging production risks and co-ordinating responses
•Demonstrates an ability to effectively lead, motivate, influence, develop, and coach people. Understands and has the ability to apply core HR processes e.g. Annual performance reviews, Annual Development Reviews, recruitment, supervisory & disciplinary
