The Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Execution Supervisor, this is a key role in delivery of an asset’s plant maintenance performance. The role includes leading the planning of preventive and corrective maintenance, providing execution support to offshore operation & maintenance team, working with Contract Managers to performance manage maintenance vendors and quality assurance for maintenance delivery. Cost efficiency is a key element of the role. The role will require a number of offshore visits each year.

Maintenance Engineers will be the onshore ‘Focal Point’ for an asset’s maintenance program. Working closely with their Maintenance Planners/ Scheduler and OTLM colleagues, the Maintenance Engineer is accountable for ensuring planning, execution and closeout for preventive and corrective maintenance supporting the effective delivery of scheduling and lessons learned reviews with responsibility for scopes including:
• Planned Plant Maintenance & Intrusive Inspection Routines & Correctives
• Maintenance scopes including; Rotating equipment activity (e.g. Gas Turbine overhauls & inspections/ major Pump/Compressor change-outs), plant intrusive inspection activity optimising plant system and unit operations outages
Key behaviours required will include strong leadership, motivated self-starter, and high personal impact with ability to influence, strong networking skills and teamwork within BP and support contractors & vendors. Strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external will be required.

Activity Delivery
1. With the Maintenance Planner, lead the detailed planning of PM and CO CAP plant Maintenance and Intrusive Inspection activities so they are ready for execution.
2. Be the SPA for all CAP PM work with medium/high engineering input required, raising CO/BR work orders for follow up if necessary.
3. Monitor offshore execution progress and provide support to on-going CAP plant Maintenance and Intrusive Inspection activities
4. Create a strong relationship with OTLM and offshore Maintenance Planner to ensure optimal execution
5. Support plant/equipment availability improvement by taking the lead on developing and planning corrective activity ready for execution identified from Vulnerabilities management
6. With the Maintenance Planner develop a CAP plant Maintenance and Intrusive Inspection 20Q schedule
7. Review the Maintenance and Intrusive Inspection activity plan & schedule and provide input to TAR Planning and Scheduling Process
8. Plan activity ensuring it complies with the Activity Planning process definition of readiness and attend Planning Meetings to provide assurance on Gate Readiness Tracking (8Q-12W-6W) for the defined CAP maintenance Activity Plan. Create and submit Schedule Change Requests and Waivers when appropriate
9. Liaise and agree activity scope of work with the various maintenance Vendors and ensure POs are in place.
10. Ensure quality work packs are supplied to allow clear understanding of the activity and risks to allow quality SIRPs and CoW definition by OTLs
11. Ensure activity materials are ordered via PSCM
12. Assist, when requested, Maintenance Planner in obtaining information to build routine task job-plans
13. Lead After Action reviews, as necessary

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Engineering Degree qualified preferred or HND in engineering discipline
•Experience in discipline engineering & maintenance & activity planning
•Extensive understanding of offshore working environments
•Maintenance experience preferred
•Has knowledge of/and demonstrated project management skills
•Knowledge of design principles and engineering standards, and in particular for UKCS compliance, would be an advantage.
•Competent in reading technical drawings
•Demonstrated computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Excel, and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
•Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work in a multi-discipline team and ability to develop strong working relationships with Contractor(s).
•A working knowledge of tools used for data analysis.
•Knowledge of the Safety Case Verification process, Safety Critical Elements, Written Schemes and Performance
