The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Provide technical expertise which may be equipment-based or repair-technique-based which impacts the availability and maintainability of the facility.
1. Serve as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
2. Provide engineering support to plant issues which are impacting production over a short period of time.
3. Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
4. For equipment that is critical for the process ensures that work requests include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. and if necessary provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data.
5. Ensure repairs, repair techniques, equipment specific training, are documented and made available
6. Support the PPM coordinator as required in reviewing spare parts list for existing equipment.
7. Develop maintenance operating discipline and provide maintainability input to projects.
8. Enter QSPP information into the reporting system.
9. Participate in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.
10. As required, provide engineering input to work packages to ensure standards are followed.
11. During development of turnaround work provides input on development of work orders particularly on critical equipment requiring engineering review or input.
12. Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
13. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
Additional duties as per assigned service lines within maintenance engineering technologist divisions:
Maintenance Engineer
Responsible for Maintenance Engineering work related to all non-Instrument or Electrical equipment.
Maintenance Instrument Engineer
Responsible for Maintenance Engineering work related to all Instrument equipment. Typically, this role is spread across an envelope or site vs a “Maintenance Engineer”, which is normally tied to a plant.
Maintenance Electrical Engineer
Responsible for Maintenance Engineering work related to all Electrical equipment. Typically, this role is spread across an envelope or site vs a “Maintenance Engineer”, which is normally tied to a plant.
Materials Engineer
Responsible for supporting other “Maintenance Engineers” and other roles specifically related to materials issues, e.g. selection, corrosion issues, etc..

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
