The Company:
Our client is a global leader in designing, manufacturing and integrating exhaust after treatment technology and solutions for the commercial on and off highway light-duty medium-duty, heavy-duty and high-horsepower engine markets.

The Role:
To provide Maintenance support to all production areas to minimise production downtime and to help increase productivity across the site.


Key Responsibilities:
-Carry out Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance functions to a high standard and in a safe way.
-React to breakdowns, ensuring critical equipment is prioritised to ensure minimal downtime.
-Complete Preventative Maintenance Schedules in a pro-active manner.
-Provide good feedback on issues and items to help with the continuous improvement of site and the Maintenance department.
-Work on projects as required.

Experience Required:
Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or worked in a Maintenance environment for at least four years as a Fitter or Electrician.
Attended short courses, Mechanical to Electrical Conversion, PLC Troubleshooting for Mechanics.
Attended short courses, Basic Mechanical Maintenance, Introduction to Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
Or worked in a Maintenance environment as a Multi-skilled Engineer or Maintenance Technician.
Isolate Electrical supply and prove dead.
Disconnect and reconnect motors, valves etc.
Understand basic PLC?s inputs and outputs for fault finding.
Be able to follow basic electrical drawings.
Isolate Hydraulic and Pneumatic pressure systems and make safe.
Remove motors, gearbox, solenoid valves etc.
Be able to follow Hydraulic and Pneumatic drawings to aid with fault finding.
Change drive belts and couplings and set up and align.
Lock out, Tag out.
Breakdown response.
