The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Provides maintenance technical expertise on plant issues that impact production over a short period of time.
1. Provide experience on failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
2. Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
3. During repairs ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc are provided and documented.
4. Ensure repair techniques, repair procedures, and equipment specific training are documented and made available.
5. Provide technical support for specification, identification and purchasing of needed parts.
6. Provide maintainability input to PM, Six Sigma and other improvement activities.
7.As appropriate and required, review spare parts list for existing equipment and works with MRO to ensure parts are identified, added and stocked in the MRO system in support of the Reliability strategy.
8. Develop Maintenance procedures based on Most Effective Technology (MET).
9. Enter quality complaints into the QSPP system.
10. Participate with RE in developing the equipment Maintenance strategy by providing technical and historical information.
11. Participate in developing the Maintenance budget to support the Reliability strategy.
12. Serve as a technical resource to the planner on work packages.
13. During development of turnaround work, provide input on scope of work.
14. Evaluate Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) activities and determine appropriate action.
15. Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
16. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
Additional duties as per assigned service lines within maintenance engineering technologist divisions:
Pipeline Technician/Technologist
• Provide specific subject matter expertise as related to pipelines and pipeline technology.
Building, Roads & Infrastructure Technician/Technologist
• Provide specific subject matter expertise as related to buildings, roads and site infrastructure
• Develop and implement repair and improvement plans for buildings, roads and site infrastructure
Meter and Relay Technician/Technologist
• Serve as SME for all work related to specialized metering and relay equipment associated with the power distribution system
• Develop and implements plans for repair and improvements on meter and relay systems
• Consult on all troubleshooting and repair of meter and relay equipment
Breaker and Switchgear Technician/Technologist
• Handle switching/racking out/removing/high end maintenance activities across the site for the Medium and High voltage Switch Gear.
• Develop and implements plans for repair and improvements on meter and relay systems
• Consult on all troubleshooting and repair of meter and relay equipment
Outside Shop Coordination Technician/Technologist
• Serve as liaison and SME for work sent to outside shops for fabrication, repair and re-design
• Work with outside shops to develop fabrication and repair plans and determine need and timing of such
Rigging Specialist
• Subject matter expert for rigging needs across all facilities
• Review and approves critical lifts
• Consult with plant and maintenance personnel to develop critical lift procedures and processes
Welding Specialist
• Subject matter expert for specialized and unique welding jobs and procedures needed within.
• Work with site and envelop maintenance personnel to develop and implement specialized welding procedures
• Consult with maintenance personnel to approve welding procedures and repairs
Reverse Engineering Coordinator
• Subject matter expert for opportunities related to design and fabrication of specialized parts and tools needed that are no longer available or no longer exist elsewhere
Work with fabricators and shop personnel to determine processes and techniques to replicate unique items

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Two-year associate’s Technical Degree or 2-3 years additional experience in similar technical/ industrial field of work.
