The Role:
MAINTENANCE INSTRUMENT ENGINEER
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the activities of Maintenance (Instrumentation) Engineers including determining and following up on work priorities of the team.
• Develop and maintain maintenance planning and implementation in conjunction with offshore maintenance team.
• Assist, advice, and support offshore instrument team on technical and functional aspects of instrumentation work.
• Analyze and identify problems and potential problems including determining possible solutions for various issues including staff development and manpower requirements.
• Follow up and ensure QA/QC of repair and modification of instrumentation equipment, ensuring that they are done according to required procedures and
• technical standards.
• Assist Senior Maintenance engineer in the administration of contract and service/purchase orders.
• Coordinate with Logistics Department for optimal stock and material management.
• Recommend optimum stock/re-order levels.
• Ensure continuous availability of instruments' spare parts, and materials, etc. to support offshore instrumentation activities.
• Make annual budget recommendations to Senior Maintenance engineer
• Monitor and follow up expenditures to be in line with approved budget and work plans.
• Review technical justifications of recommended modifications to ensure their compatibility with existing systems.
• Carry out feasibility studies for various equipments and recommend alternative solutions/improvements to enhance equipment safety and efficiency.
• Promote the implementation of the company's SHE policy and regulations in all work under responsibility.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or related fields
• 8-10 years experience in same function of related industry, preferably in multi-disciplinary environment
• Engineering expertise in Instrumentation and broad knowledge of other disciplines
• Good communication skills to liaise with other disciplines' specialists
• Supervisory skills, team-leading ability, knowledge in project management
• Ability to keep abreast of technical developments and industry trends
