The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
To implement both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Troubleshoot all preventative maintenance. The management of all technical matters administrative correspondence and supervisory control of maintenance team. To develop budgets around sm & pm (projections) liaises with regard to yard improvement plans and discuss with the director/yard manager potential development investment.

Responsibilities:
• To ensure adherence to company policy and procedures.
• To perform tasks which maybe requested by management form time to time.
• To perform tasks delegated by director/yard manager
• Quality safety health and environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety)
• To develop the department strategy
• To monitor the department cost against budget
• To prepare maintenance records
• To collect and maintain specific maintenance instructions and equipment data
• To arrange and maintain certification crane age
• To control the authorised system documentation issued by the QA department
• To contribute to the annual managerial review of the system documentation
• To ensure that procedures are followed and maintained
• To encourage the procurement of energy efficient plant & equipment
• To stimulate personnel quality safety environmental awareness by thinking facilitating training as well as a consistent control regime.
• To ensure correct implementation of the company quality and safety and environmental policy within the company and verify that the company quality safety and environmental procedures are followed.
• To arrange adequate training for department personnel
• To perform safety intervention discussion (SID’s)
• To issue permits for civil works
• Individual risk awareness within job role
• Identify and highlight any further training requirement of their personnel.

Authority:
• To approve appointment of departmental personnel
• To delegate tasks under his responsibility
• To approve timesheets and holidays
• To verify expenses
• Authorisation levels as detailed in GP 04 01


Training requisite:
• BTEC/NVQ qualifications in a relevant discipline
• Client financial control system
• Production Control System

• Management and presentation courses

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 3 years management experience in the construction industry
• Planning & organisational skills that enable the implementation of their duties and the company strategy
• Communicate in a positive manner with subordinate staff and other departmental managers.
• An understanding of company quality safety health & environmental systems & programmes
• Must be computer literate
