The Company:
Our client are global specialists within the Power and Petrochemical industries and we are looking to recruit an experience maintenance manager to come on board and drive the planning and breakdown of engineering work.

The Role:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Organise the resources to ensure that planning, scheduling and execution of both planned preventative and breakdown engineering work is carried out in accordance with the agreed cost, timescale and EHS requirements.
Lead, motivate and develop the maintenance team to ensure that competency standards are met and personal contributions are maximised.
Structure consultation processes and develop relationships to promote a supportive response to business change needs and team resolution of IR issues and concerns wherever possible.
Manage the annual maintenance spend within the agreed budget, taking corrective action as required.
Plan and execute maintenance task packages and project construction activities, including commissioning support, to agreed EHS, duration and cost targets.
Together with P&L, manage and develop the provision of contractor support to the area through the use of best practice contracting techniques.
Lead the maintenance continuous improvement process that is designed to progressively shift the balance from breakdown maintenance towards preventative maintenance
Manage the key maintenance support activities in line with area objectives. To include:-

• Management and development of the SAP maintenance system.
• Management of the area spares holding.
• Establish a maintenance history for the assets based on historical information and building on this through recording maintenance activity .

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
The job holder will be a graduate in an appropriate engineering discipline with a good understanding across MEI range of discipline with at least 4 years relevant experience in chemical plant operation. Alternatively the job holder will be qualified to HNC and will have 10+ years of work delivery experience in and equivalent environment.

Line management and contractor management experience is desirable.

Excellent IT skills are essential as the job holder will be expected to achieve “expert user” status with the SAP maintenance system.
