The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

The Role:
- Under the direction of the Planning Leader the Planner is responsible for the planning functions of routine maintenance activities within Client’s Safe Work Practices and HSE guidelines.
- Utilizing best practices to assist with the development of preventative maintenance programs.
- Work with respective area Maintenance Leads & Operations Leads to develop high quality job packages for maintenance team.
- Develop detailed work plans; determine contracting requirements while interfacing with technical and operating departments.
- Develops work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow for the efficient scheduling, assignment, and execution of maintenance work.
- Evaluates job feedback to improve future work.
- Works closely with the Scheduler, Analyst, and Maintenance and Operations Coordinators to determine work activities.
- Uses plant history, feedback and other technical information to include in current job plans.
- Procurement of materials and equipment as required.
- Develop strong relationships with all stakeholders & departments, ensuring alignment to the planning process.
- Provide input and maintain planning standards for maintenance.
- Visit job sites to scope HSE requirements, method of execution, resource management.

- Millwright Red Seal
- Petroleum Industry Training Service (PITS) or Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) (mandatory)
- WHMIS
- OSSA Awareness
