The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
The incumbent will provide technical & functional leadership within the asset to deliver target reliability and availability of equipment through the following activities:

Implementation of processes to prevent production losses and create a reliability driven culture.
Development and execution of Reliability, Maintainability & Availability strategies which deliver maximum reliable uptime of assets.
Significant focus on Maintenance performance, RCA (Root Cause Analysis) continuous improvement and focus on Industry Best practice.

Implement asset programs to improve the levels of monitoring, health and care applied to the Asset’s critical equipment and drive down equipment related failure
• Feed failure information back into the Computerised Maintenance Management system (CMMS) to continually update and improve Maintenance Strategies
• Lead the development and implementation of reliability based Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) strategies including equipment care and oil analysis
• Developing and implementing preservation strategies for equipment
• Review & contribute to Maintenance technician competency plans

• Contributes to scope definition of Shutdown and Major Maintenance activities on upstream reciprocating & rotating equipment
• Responsible for recommending actions to optimise the maintenance program for rotating equipment to minimise unplanned down time
• Provides input to the strategies for managing risk based maintenance including condition monitoring programs for rotating equipment

• Develop scopes of work for Reliability contracts
• Contract manager of the Upstream rotating Long term Service Agreement (LTSA)
• Monitor the effectiveness of contractor performance

Technical Review and Input
• Work with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of best practices is included in new and modified installations
• Lead Reliability Predictions, Failure Mode Effects & Critical Analysis (FMECA) & availability modelling utilising accepted engineering techniques, practices, & procedures
• Work with contractors developing maintenance plan for the facilities to ensure reliability is built into these
• Lead the development of plant and equipment maintenance strategies and procedures
• Participate in design reviews during project detailed design and construction
• Participates in the development of design and installation specifications through HAZOP & HAZID workshops
• Monitor and make recommendations on technology advances

• Implement performance dashboards and other monitoring / surveillance methods to identify reliability threats and vulnerabilities, develop mitigation plans and identify long term improvement plans
• Identification and effective management of asset reliability risks which could adversely affect plant safety, efficiency & production targets.

Continuous Improvement
• Loss elimination, risk management and LCAM (life cycle asset management)
• Contribute to the Global Maintenance/Reliability community through sharing of good practice and lessons learned in reliability performance
• Contribute to continuously improving the productivity of field rotating equipment maintenance

Quality Assurance
• Participates in the development of criteria for; and evaluation of; equipment and technical suppliers and maintenance service providers
• Assists in the development of acceptance tests and inspection criteria
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing on behalf of Operations
• Work with corporate Group Technical Authorities to embed industry best practices
• Work with the commissioning team to develop commissioning test and acceptance procedures
• Participation in the project quality assurance and completions management program

Incident Investigation
• Actively leads and/or participates in incident investigations as required
• Implements Reliability actions from incident investigations
• Interfaces regularly with LTSA contractors
• Provides technical quality assurance for work executed by the LTSA contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will be a professional engineer with a recognised degree qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent
(Ideally chartered / professional engineer or equivalent, or working towards such a qualification)

• Knowledge of gas production processes
• Highly skilled of analytical and problem solving skills
• Initiative and capacity to exercise good judgment
• Good management and supervisory skills
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
• High level interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with other core business areas to provide a service that ensures asset integrity and longevity of plant & equipment
• Good time management skills
• Sound knowledge of and commitment to asset integrity
• Results orientated and motivated achiever
• The “presence” to influence all level within the Asset to change their modes of operation and maintenance management to increase asset performance and delivery

• Direct management of vendors / 3rd parties
• Contract specification development and review

Requirement for incumbent to travel to field locations and LNG plant
