The Company:
Our client is a global exploration and production company, firmly cemented on large scale LNG projects in Australia. With their Queensland based project nearing commissioning and start-up, an experienced Maintenance Process Specialist is sought to join their Maintenance team in Brisbane, responsible for development and implementation of downstream maintenance strategies.
The Role:
This position with be a key role in the transition of the project through to operations and maintenance phase, developing structure for the various staff and contractors to adhere to. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this will be a stand-alone role, initially offered as a 12 month contract, with scope to develop into a permanent role after contract completion. As well as developing and integrating maintenance process, responsibilities may include establishing training programs, providing field based support and liason amongst both operations and maintenance teams, so effective communication skills are an important trait.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, the following criteria is essential:
- Trade background or tertiary qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a maintenance environment
- Experience using SAP (preferably Plant Maintenance modules)
- Experience using computerised maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Strong maintenance / reliability work process exposure
- Proven exposure to piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Preferably an oil and gas background (though mining and power generation might be considered)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Existing ability to create and implement maintenance process
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Site based exposure
- Existing experience working within a large-scale CSG/LNG projects in Australia
- Ability to reside in Brisbane, relocation won't be provided
- Australian Residency
- Available to travel to site when required
- Preference towards Monday to Friday corporate work structure - not FIFO or rotation
