The Role:
The objective is to provide additional maintenance skills and experience within the RCV team and to support the offshore team in Maintenance support
The candidate shall be working within the onshore RCV team (BvL, AG), responsible for the maintenance.

Scope of work:


a)Ensure main drilling contractor complies with current contract and promotes Company’s safety culture and expectations.
b)Liaise with Company’s HSE department, Technical Authorities
c)Responsible for cost transparency and managing maintenance budget. Ensure all projects and upgrades are completed within budget and time.
d)Ensure main drilling contractor complies with legislative requirements and operate within the Company’s policy and standards.
e)Provide technical support for maintenance activities in accordance with statutory requirements. Communicate and share support with offshore RCV team
f)Ensure monthly updates of drilling package equipment tracker and associated certification register (for example ‘Well & Control file’).
g)Verify main drilling contractor drilling equipment common and specific spares per platform
h)Verify and perform audits in maintenance routines against SAP per platform. Shortfall to be fed back to main drilling contractor for rectification without delay.
i)Assist main drilling contractor in warm stack proceedings i.e. complete dry-watch routines
j)Ensure drilling equipment vendors are committed and show ownership in QAQC and maintenance of their equipment to their criteria, with main drilling contractor managing the interfaces and update SAP accordingly.
k)Identify technical improvement opportunities and share with peers.
l)Share progress and developments with Peers


a)Verify Company’s safety culture.
b)Verify action items of last visit or from Fountain reports are followed-up
c)Verify Drilling package equipment condition and audit PM’s are carried out properly

d)Audit drilling package equipment last inspection, overhaul and certification.
e)Audit maintenance routines history tracking (SAP).
f)Feedback findings in report on the Shell web.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
a)Valid offshore certification, medical, WAH, MIST
b)Extensive experience within drilling industry and competence – refer to attachment 1
c)Extensive experience working on jack-ups and platform
d)Extensive experience in project management (upgrades)
e)Qualified safety leadership competency
f)Ability to effectively analyse technical equipment problems and develop strategies to rectify problems to assist Shell’s main drilling contractor in turn to minimize downtime
g)Motivated, independent, strong in interacting and communication skills.
