The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for safety, reliability and cost management. Responsible for work process utilization, enhancement of the process/operating discipline, defining skills necessary for the work process and tracks / analyzes work process results.

Functional Duties
1. This role is accountable for the organization's desire to improve:
a. Lead the organization
b. Collaborate with other resources and work processes
c. Deliver results: Safety, Reliability and Maintenance cost optimization
d. Generate value for Sadara.
2. Accountable for contributing towards the safety, productivity, quality and overall effectiveness of the work force.
3. Leverages the Maintenance Work Process (MWP) and Sub-Processes across multiple operating units and businesses.
4. Accountable for the overall application of the Maintain Facility Work Process and overall alignment to the business' needs. This means:
a. Implement MWP to the level that is locally required and adds value to the operating unit or business: MWP for large sites vs. MWP for small sites
b. Always consider the value adding element needs when determining possible range of implementation from a "minimum requirements" mode up through a fully implemented and comprehensive MWP.
c. Ensures effective linkages with other processes
5. Process owner and responsible for process sustainability and results: tangible results provide bottom line results/value to Sadara
6. The individual is accountable for functional/administrative goals and for establishing the budget that is consistent with the business needs
7. Functions as the administrative leader of all maintenance resources within an organization
8. Ensure full integration of work processes that have reliability and maintenance involvement
9. Remove/minimize the maintenance silo if it exists
a. Continuously strive to improve systems and people to support historically non-maintenance activities in the Operate Plant domain: process cleaning, small process changes, project participation and input on all projects
10. Provides roles, talented and competencies necessary to support process elements: MWP, TWP, and RCC with organizational integration to ODMS, OPWP, EHS, PM, etc.
11. Executes the performance management system
a. Competency Profiles, Employee Development, Deployment, Compensation
b. Develop engineers for future roles in projects, technical skills and leadership
12. Drives emergence of culture and desired behavior: analyzes and audits work process results
13. Accountable for value creation through utilization of the work processes and their integration.
14. Articulates the expectations of all maintenance employees via the Site vision, Facility Maintenance Strategy, MI plan and common behaviors.
15. Coordinates/sponsors the formation of teams for timely resource leveraging to support significant opportunities
16. Promotes the Leveraging of MET through partnership with the Businesses and functions (i.e.: DAS, Tech Center, SME's)
17. Demands use of the Management of Change for value added improvements
18. Accountable for measuring the performance of individuals against the expectations of the work processes and the utilization of most effective technology
19. Plans and allocates maintenance resources
20. Ensures delivery of agreed to services as required.
21. Optimizes the interface to other work processes.
22. Actively participates in Maintenance Leadership teams within the business or site
23. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Petrochemical Experience
