Fircroft have partnered with a globally recognised engineering and maintenance services provider, heavily targeting projects across the Queensland oil & gas industry. With annual revenue exceeding $1B, their broad range of services has gained the interest of notable owners team to partner in upcoming operations and maintenance phases of work. A newly created role for an experienced Maintenance Superintendent is sought, in alignment with a newly established senior leadership team. Based in Glads

The Role:
As the Maintenance Superintendent, the successful applicant will take responsibility for the ongoing services performance of LNG plant and associated equipment. Reporting to the senior management team, there will be an emphasis cost deliverables and timeframes, with a need to satisfy client's high expectations around plant availability and integrity, without compromising compliance/quality. The Maintenance Supervisor must have a high level of communication skills and an awareness or exposure to joint venture partnership and alliance arrangements. The role will work alongside the owners maintenance and reliability team to plan and execute the maintenance program. This position will provide leadership, supervision and mentoring of the maintenance workforce, through a thorough safety mentality. Other key accountables are based around:

- Process/quality assurance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful applicant will display:
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in a mechanical (or related) field
- 5 plus years exposure in an equipment maintenance/shut-downs, preferably within a hydrocarbons capacity
- Relevant contractor background, as opposed to purely client (owners) or EPC
- Pre-existing supervisory or management experience
- A familiarity with rotating equipment (i.e. compressors, pumps etc.)
- Knowledge within an oil & gas and/or chemical environment
- Broadened exposure to QA/QC, project management in a project based capacity
- Strong safety mentality
- A willingness to reside in Gladstone (relocation assistance provided for families)
- Strong communication skills, with experience reporting to senior management on large-scale maintenance projects
