The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
This position is based on the Central team for a large LNG project in WA. The main project that this Business Analyst will focus on is a Spares Information Management project, so applicants should have experience of Engineering Maintenance Systems, Engineering Data Flows and Spares Flows. So CMMS / SAP / Maintenance systems experience is essential.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for:

• Using appropriate business analysis tools and methods as needed, in support of new and existing Engineering Data and Corporate applications, or in support of the study of proposed changes to the business processes
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholder in gathering and modeling business data, business processes and other business rules in order to ensure enhancements and modifications have been carefully considered and that the chosen solution meets business objectives
• Applying Information Protection standards where appropriate to existing operational systems
• Facilitating workshops in capturing business requirements
• As required, develop presentations and provide high level communications to project stakeholders on: o business operational scenarios o business process/responsibility changes and implications o business process integration gaps and potential issues
• In collaboration with business SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and super users, develop user procedures and work instructions, that not only describing how to use systems, but how individuals should successfully carryout their day-to-day duties in an efficient, safe and effective manner
• As new opportunities arise, capture the high level business requirements in context to specific business strategies, goals and objectives allowing an initial set of solution alternatives to be identified
• Manage business expectations
• Identify, implement and utilize appropriate modeling techniques as part of requirements analysis (e.g. UML and Use Cases)
• Collaborate with users to agree acceptance criteria, develop acceptance test cases and test plans

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience within or working with engineering or operations within the resources industry would be beneficial
• Experience in spares data management processes or business environment would be of benefit
• Business requirements analysis and capture
• Strategic as well as tactical business analysis skills
• End-to-end business process and data analysis experience
• Experience with the application of ETL in solving business problems
• Used to dealing with senior stakeholders
• Facilitating workshops
• Alternative solution and supplier selection experience (e.g. RFIs, RFPs)
• Is comfortable at the high level as well as the detail level (strategic and tactical level BA)
