Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintence Team Leader offering a unique opportunity to implement the maintenance strategy for the largest terminal in the world. The primary role of the post is to manage, plan and develop the maintenance organization, its system and resources.

The post holder will have an organization of both expat and national staff and will be responsible for all of the electrical, mechanical and instrumentation maintenance.

On occasion the post holder will act as Maintenance Manager with responsibilities across all oil, gas and utility areas.

The successful applicant must demonstrate ownership of the Common Maintenance Strategy by interfacing with Operations and Business to enable the asset to develop to a safe, reliable and cost effective facility. This will include managing all planned work including plant Turnarounds.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Roles and Responsibilities will be described against Operating and Managing Essentials framework.

Leadership and Accountability.

Implement the Terminal maintenance strategy in line with the AzSBU Maintenance Strategy and global CMS guidelines.
Create a safe and effective culture by ensuring a process and safety culture are in place driven by deep understanding of MAR, process risk and mitigation methods.
Ensure provision of a maintenance organization that meets all required operability, reliability, and availability etc targets for the terminal.
Ensure maintenance integrity is maintained and provided at all times by instigating the correct maintenance strategies e.g. condition monitoring.
Manage and develop the Maintenance Technician Team that consists of supervisors and technicians.
Identify shortfalls and improvements in maintenance effectiveness against BP Group Standards and support Continuous Improvement with focus on condition monitoring.
Drive opportunities for improvement in plant reliability by use of metrics, audit and assessment.
Key holder of the Maintenance OPEX budget.

Operations Management.

Work with the rest of the operations team on the development of the resources, programmers’, practices and procedures for the maintenance of the facilities.
Implement Maximo and Engineering Data base Maintenance Management system
Identification of operating spares requirements.
Drive improvements in supply chain, logistics and quality assurance through deep understanding of processes and managing relationships.
Manage third part Contractors
Manage change to operating plant and/ or processes.
Participate in HAZOP and HAZID studies.

Foundation Skills.

Discipline expertise in either Electrical, Mechanical, Control or Process Engineering.
Leads HSSE
Leads incident investigation and emergency response.
Leads root cause failure analysis, RAM studies and impact of Project decisions on operating facilities.
• Actives listening skills and encourages others to express ideas and opinions.
• Understand and demonstrate all methods of communication to suit audience.
• Collaborative and connected to AzSBU peers and BP globally.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Track Record of commitment to the BP HS&E policies and practices:
• Knowledge of the practices and equipment in the gas, oil or related industry
• 5 years leadership of multi-discipline teams
• Definition and application of maintenance strategies and systems

The candidate will have enjoyed both prior technical and commercial exposure in understanding both operations and engineering for a large facility complex.

The successful candidate will need excellent interpersonal skills with a strong delivery focus. Competencies will include the ability to drive a high level plan and to be able to integrate and communicate related deliverables to a diverse audience.

Engineering Degree preferred but not essential.
Preference will be given to applicants with discipline specific maintenance training and qualifications. The candidate must be a certified electrical / instruments or mechanical maintenance practitioner.

Strong consideration will be given to persons with operations
