The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join the Finance team, reporting to the Principal Management Accountant - Corporate, Commercial and New Ventures. The main function of this position is to support the execution of finance operations which includes effective delivery of reports, budgets and forecasts whilst adhering to the company accounting policies and principles.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets & submit quarterly forecasts of expenditure
• Provide oversight of financial risk in contracts and participate in contract evaluation process
• Prepare management accounting reports and project reporting
• Continuous development of reporting suite to meet internal manager’s requirements
• Deliver month end and reporting within 6 business days of each period close, provide variance commentary on material differences
• Develop understanding of the foreign currency sources and include in analysis

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting completed or working towards CPA/CA/CIMA is a requirement
• 6 years + experience working in a similar role within the resources industry
• Demonstrated experience in cost/management accounting in an oil and gas environment is preferred
• JV accounting experience will be highly regarded
• SAP experience is preferred
• A working knowledge and understanding of Australian oil and gas environment including understanding contracting strategies, commercial structures and project management techniques
• Strong demonstrated communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business
