The Company:
Our client is a leading global supplier of consultancy, engineering, and project management services in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Reporting into the Regional Director the key aim of this senior level corporate role is to provide leadership for the Project Management and Project Controls Functions within the MENA Region.

Main Responsibilities
- Actively engage new and existing clients to proactively enhance business acquisition
- Lead PM and PC functions during the proposals process as part of business acquisition
- Represent the Function within the Regional Management Team
- Assisting the GR Director of Project Management
- Assist with bids and winning work
- Attendance at Regional CRB’s (Commercial Review Boards) to verify that these are robust and consider project execution issues
- Development and improvement of the Regional capability in project execution and delivery
- Application of Progressive Learning within the Function and the Business
- Maintaining good communications with other Functions, and the Functional personnel
- Support and implement Strategic initiatives
- Maintain and where possible improve our Customer Focus during the execution of our projects
- Demonstrate HSSE Leadership and compliance with the AMEC Safety Rules, through behaviour and actions
- Ensure that new Functional personnel receive a Function induction and that the ‘on boarding’ process is robust
- Proactive development of our the Functional personnel, increasing their understanding of the fundamentals to increase the core competency of the Function, especially with regard to Commercial and Contractual Awareness
- Assisting with the Regional succession planning for the Function
- Identification of High Potential employees and their development
- Resource management, including assistance with recruitment of senior personnel, with the support of HR
- Development/approval of any Regional, Country or Office Functional Procedures, ensuring that these are kept up to date on the Growth Regions Information Management System (IMS)
- Monitor the performance of the projects within the Region
- Be familiar with Company Policies and Procedures and ensure that these are applied to our projects
- Request and undertake audits and PEER reviews when necessary on our projects. Ensuring that the resulting actions are closed promptly

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent Engineering qualification
• Business or Management qualification or relevant experience
• Leadership training or relevant experience
• Proven track record of delivery in Oil & Gas projects
• Experience in managing large complex multi-discipline projects or programs,
• International Project execution experience
• Experience of a broad range of project types
• Strong Commercial and Contractual awareness
• Strong HSSE values and leadership
• Experience of multi discipline engineering execution
• Experience of supply chain management and practice
• Experience of construction, completions and commissioning execution on site
• Sound knowledge of project control principles
