The Role:
Typically time served site professional with relevant qualifications and experience, over significant and extensive experience. An expert in the area of M&E Site Supervision, managing deliveries, quality and cost to achieve site objectives. Interfacing with Site Manager, Installation and cabling contractor and Project Team to ensure safe and management experience in appropriate sectors. An expert in management of change and project management who is able to work at all levels within client organisations.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Developing and implementing construction strategy with cable and M&E Contractor to meet requirements of contract whilst managing scope and costs of contract
- Delivering the construction element of the project to programme and budget and within scope of M&E and cable contractors works
- Health, Safety & Environmental management on site – supported as necessary by in-house and 3rd party HSE practitioners
- Quality control and approval of installations at all levels
- Management and coordination of contractors for the client
- Coordination and communication with Site Manager, client’s representative, designers, etc
- Client relationships and management of project goals

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Approved City and Guilds or equivalent trade qualification in an Electrical discipline
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or IOSH Managing Safely with NEBOSH planned)
- Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (2007)
- Undertaking Risk Assessment and evaluation of project risk
- Preparation and evaluation of construction Method Statements
- National Grid Competent Person (NSIs 6 & 8 and others as required)
- REC Authorisations as required
- Erection & inspection of scaffold towers*
- Lifting, slinging & banksman*
- Elevated platform*
- Confined space*
* to demonstrate competency and understanding
- First Aid Training
- Construction site experience HV environment
- Relevant industry experience (i.e. Construction work in the Electrical Supply or Power Generation Industry,
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical substations, cables, overhead lines and power system protection
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil, installation and commissioning a
