The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Liaison with key JLR support departments (including Manufacturing) and the Supply Base at senior levels to ensure parts are available to cover variable shift operating patterns. Work closely with both Freight & Linefeed Lead Logistics Providers to ensure 100% parts availability. Plant & pipeline inventory management. Prepare & maintain accurate KPI's supporting departmental objectives including plant measurable data for Engine Manufacturing Centre including S/Q/D/C/P/E scorecard measurables. Support replacement part orders, aftermarket requirements / Engineering & Launch activities. Generate & maintain standards & procedures Interfacing with key areas. Maintain system accuracy and support cycle count (P.I.) process. Control of Premium Freight expenditure within Supply Chain & drive innovative cost efficiencies. Co-ordinating running changes / model year parts introductions on new and existing facilities.

Selection Criteria
1. First-line production support is an integral part of the job, and candidates need to be able to demonstrate excellent use of problem solving skills & techniques Essential.
2. Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills in data control and understanding of production processes Essential.
3. Ability to work in fast paced environment and to tight deadlines Essential
4. Can demonstrate the ability to make decisions quickly, sometimes in demanding situations Essential.
5. Must be systems literate and demonstrate analytical skills including knowledge of MS Office and JLR Manufacturing suite of systems and some knowledge of SAP is desirable. Essential.
6. Can effectively communicate at all levels within client & the Supply base Essential.
7. Demonstrate 100% flexibility / commitment and support in all situations including out-of-hours when necessary Essential.
8. Ideally degree qualified, with experience of working in an MP&L or similar environment Desirable.
