The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities: -
* Quality management of Halewood component supplier partners.
* Practice and coach the use of the problem solving and failure mode avoidance tools & techniques.
* Structure activity pro-actively to achieve PCPA, FTT, RFT, 0 MIS warranty Scorecard targets.
* Lead cross functional teams in problem solving methods, i.e. Level 0, CCAR, PPS and Six Sigma and 8D.
* Develop robust, prompt containment measures and where necessary direct third party rework support.
* Liaison with the manufacturing, MP&L, STA and purchasing teams during vendor issue management.
* Coach suppliers in the use of Quality Operating Systems and practical problem solving.
* Supervisory duties for hourly paid employees
* Report vendor performance in a number of corporate forum

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Automotive experience
* Experience of successfully leading a team, min 2 years in process engineering role
* Excellent communication skills and experience of communicating to groups.
* Excellent Presentation skills.
* Excellent IT Skills (MS office package)
* Problem solving skills and exposure to tool sets.
* Knowledge and experience in Control plans, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP.
* Knowledge and experience in promoting health and safety processes, risk assessments, COSHH.
* Knowledge and experience of Environmental controls and practices
* Knowledge and experience of Lean manufacturing tools and techniques and working practices
* Ability to interrogate and interpret data.
* Knowledge and experience of QPS & WES, and standardized work processes.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Able to communicate effectively to all levels of the business and with external partners.
* Ability to work independently, with initiative, applying common processes and stan

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of CAD software desirable.
* Six- Sigma training desirable
* Knowledge and experience of CMMS3, SIM, QLS, AIMS, etracker systems
