The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Leading Product Development, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering & Logistics teams to ensure that the most efficient product, process & equipment designs are developed to achieve programme manning targets through the deployment of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, Industrial Engineering & Lean Manufacturing techniques. Establishing Best in Class data via internal & external benchmarking to set program targets. Validating, tracking & reporting programme status against Best in Class targets. Organising & reporting cross functional manpower allocation activities through the conceptual engineering design phase. Data analysis and provision of information for program and management report outs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
2. Lean manufacturing
3. Project management.

A strong understanding and the application of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly and Lean principles. Proficient in Microsoft office: word, powerpoint & particularly excel. Demonstrate application of data collection & analysis. Ability to lead, motivate & effectively influence a cross functional team. Experience in a manufacturing environment and ability to deal with demanding customers both from production & the new model programme teams.
Minimum HNC/ONC/Degree or minimum 3 years experience in Manufacturing

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Assembly Process writing, authoring & allocation system, GSPAS & APT. MOST & IMS trained. Automotive manufacturing experience.
