The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Project Engineer - PTME Global Facilities Engineering - Equipment & Installations Day to day:- Working on multiple projects on-going - Stages of projects can vary from inception through to completion & handover to end user / customer- Follow the Plant Engineering Bill of Process to take a concept, develop into a specification, select suitable supplier, manage the supplier through design, manufacture, off site commissioning, delivery to Site, installation, on site commissioning & performance testing, handover to customer end user.

Responsibilities: Can range from managing onsite installation ¿ (control of contractors on site) successful installation of equipment and facilities to early inception phases - Writing Requests for Quotation (RFQs) - Create technical specifications to be included within RFQs - Reviewing responses to the RFQ - Supplier technical recommendation following analysis of RFQ responses - Managing the design, delivery installation & commissioning of production equipment - Nature of the work requires a flexible approach to working time including out of hours working, & working during factory shut down periods & weekends as required- Role covers a wide spectrum of equipment "

Experience Required:

•Must be a self starter able to work with minimal supervision, & possess strong negotiation & influencing skills.
•Minimum 2 years project management & equipment installation experience.
•Manufacturing Engineering, Budget Control, Project Management, H&S, CDM, Contractor Control, specification of Plant & Equipment, installation & commissioning of equipment & facilities, building fit out, Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS) creation & evaluation ONC/HNC in a related Engineering Discipline"

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Practical application of Health & Safety at Work: Experience of health and safety management (preferable either IOSH or NEBOSH)
2. Project Management: Experience of managing a supplier to deliver On-time and within budget
3. Ability to lead & work within a team

Degree Level Qualified in a related Engineering Discipline*

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience Preferred:
•Experience of specifying, installing & commissioning Mechanical Handling equipment.
•Working knowledge of Ergonomic principles. Experience of working on construction sites.
Experienced in the application of process control techniques. Working knowledge JLR processes & procedures
