The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Body in White Manufacturing Engineer

Skills Required:
Develop Bodyshop Process concepts in line with Bill of Process for BIW
-Working with Product Development ensure feasible joining solutions for all joints.
-Support Module Meetings/PMST to ensure cross
- functional working with Stamping, DMBI.
-Maximise equipment usage to achieve project Capital Investment targets.
-Develop Process solutions to meet Hrs/car target
- maximise operator efficiency by load window
-Develop process concept to meet Volume aspirations including buffer, technical availability overspeeds and Takt time to support financial planning volumes.
-Support Virtual series milestones to deliver feasible concepts by
-Use Aims & Production Snag Tracker to drive resolution of issues through to Performance buy-off - Drive Aims & Snag closure by phase.
-Maintain Em-Planner database & GSPAS Process database to support Plant WES creation.
-Ensure Value for money solutions are sought for all Engineering changes.
-Support delivery of R & M 5 point plan by supporting delivery of RGP
- reliability Growth plans. ¿During launch support delivery of Facility Performance buy-off by driving 9
- panel process to ensure facility delivers within its Simulated Targets (DES) for MTTR & MTBF ensuring adherence to Design Cycle time.

Skills Preferred:
Process Planner, Robcad familiarisation and Catis V5

Experience Required:
Experience of vehicle body assembly process development, joining technologies and body assembly equipment including tooling, automation and robotics is essential. You will also possess relevant project control skills with strong communication & negotiation skills. Evidence of an innovative approach to technical problem solving and process development. The ability to recognise the value of, and employ best-in-class processes wherever practicable. The ability to work with financial information with technical decision-making. The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary teams in the pursuit of complex technical solutions and commissioning issues.

Education Required:
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline. However, consideration will be given to those who can demonstrate exceptional, relevant expertise and experience in a Manufacturing Body Construction environment in lieu of formal qualifications.
