The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Container Management & Planning
Responsible for driving operational performance of the Durable Container Manager (DCM).
Lead interface between supply base, DCM and the LLPs (Lead Logistics Providers) to maintain packaging availability throughout the supply chain.
Attend KPI mtgs with DCM & LLPs.
Take necessary actions to reduce supply chain costs.
Support and lead process improvement initiatives.
Will be responsible for the development of the service level agreements ensuring the specification satisfies requirements.
Lead the supplier selection process for the renewal of the DCM contract and develop and implement the launch plan.
Will be engaging with all areas of the business and external suppliers / service providers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to Degree Level- desirable but not essential.
Packaging experience in an Automotive environment is preferable.
Good understanding of MP&L / Manufacturing working processes / practices.
Can work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
Ability to communicate and influence up to leadership level.
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
Appreciation for the business operations and protocol.
Highly organised, logical with attention to detail.
Able to build strong relationships at all levels
Flexible with high energy and can-do attitude, self-motivated
Presentation skills, creative, good networking skills
Personal Attributes Building effective relationships - developing and maintaining relationships that inspire trust and respect.
Building a network and being able to influence others to make things happen.
Business focus - having a clear understanding of the business issues to help solve problems and achieve organisational objectives.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Freight experience in an Automotive environment is preferable
