The Company:
Our client is a technological leader and world-class manufacturer of surface and subsea chokes, specialty control valves and supporting actuation.

The Role:
•Initiates and/or supports improvement projects to optimize shop through-put
•Supports shop in defining tooling requirements to complete work as well as designs tooling to aid in assembly, disassembly and testing operations
•Provides engineering support to trouble-shoot and resolve technical problems as they occur on the shop floor
•Dispositions non-conformances occurring in new parts/equipment receipt as well as those observed during refurbishment of equipment
•Creates repair bills of material and work instructions for refurbishment projects
•Support the quote process and works with the production department to standardize work scopes
•Creates standard routers for repeatable work scopes
•Assists with establishment of standard production/turnaround time and works to continually improve these times
•Utilizes recognized industry practices to improve shop productivity and efficiency
•Works closely with shop personnel to solve critical process issues, develops, implements and documents process improvements under minimal supervision
•Continually assesses and implements recommendations regarding company product offerings and technical solutions
•Liaises with other departments to drive costs out of existing product lines
•Participates in product troubleshooting and assists in determining root cause of product reliability issues
•Other duties as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Graduate from a recognized university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology
•Experience in a Manufacturing or Aftermarket environment supporting manufacturing, assembly, and test operations
•Strong mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of assembly and test operations
•Practical knowledge or subsea equipment including operational experience on valves, chokes, or wellhead equipment
•Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards
•Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
•Effective written and oral communication skills
•Skilled use of PC software tools including Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, and Project
•A commitment to workplace health and safety
