The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Stamping Engineer

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The list below covers the breadth of Stamping Engineering activities and it is understood that some candidates may possess some, rather than all skills Perform FEA simulations of stamping processes (AutoForm). Optimize draw die developments to maximise efficiency and robustness. Provide feedback to Engineering to aid product manufacturability. Support engineering development using pressing feasibility experience. Define stamping manufacture processes taking into account the most appropriate / available facilities, piece cost & tool cost implications. Generate part and tooling costs and negotiate with suppliers. Ensure that suppliers timing plans meet overall projects timing plans and negotiate implementation of change within project aspirations. Review and buy-off Stamping Processes, Tool Designs, Patterns and Dies to the required specifications.
