The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Part of the CME (Current Manufacturing Engineering) team for vehicle assembly. The Engineer will be responsible for the processes on an assembly line within the Halewood plant. Provide manufacturing support to production assembly teams to ensure that the objectives of quality, cost, efficiency and output are achieved. Drive continuous process improvements (right first time) using lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, and 5S. Ensure all engineering changes are controlled to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements. Support the introduction of new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area. Ensure that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with new product development processes and are delivered on time and of the highest quality to meet customer demands. Drive defect prevention and reactive detection using PFMEA, control plan and reaction plan techniques. Support capital acquisition activities from a process perspective and validate the new equipment capability. Develop safe working practices.

Skills Required:
Manufacturing Engineering. Process improvements. Health and safety process improvements, Problem Solving, Lean Manufacturing, New product introduction, Engineering change control, New equipment buy off. PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC

Experience Required:
5 years minimum of process/manufacturing engineering experience in an automotive environment carrying out similar duties to the role profile

Experience Preferred:
Full driving licence

Education Required:
Qualified to Degree or HND level in an Engineering related subject.
