The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
1. Deliver manufacturing feasibility programmes for all projects
a. Highlighting the requirements related to the specific demands of the new car programme.
b. Give feasibility status to project proposals and drive activity to resolve issues.
c. Identify and enrol the support of specified skills within the group
d. Development of functional technical competence, including the introduction of new techniques to improve functional capability and efficiency
e. Align activities as per TS16949 and in particular with PEP

2. Deliver manufacturing statements for project buy off in accordance with PEP
a. Carry out physical review of the properties in the development phase and raise manufacturing feasibility issues
b. Track the issues raised through to resolution
c. Identify and deliver properties required to drive feasibility
d. Provide general assistance for the resolution of property issues
e. Highlight the impact of the property development and deviations from generic PEP timing

3. Ensure Delivery to timing plans agreed with relevant function
a. Create and deliver the functional activity plan required to deliver the project in line with PEP
b. Create and deliver the operational activity-timing plan

4. Financial target development and delivery of project budget
a. Identify and manage the budget required to deliver the project activity covering all aspects of functional activity (e.g. facilities, properties, planning costs, launch costs)

5. Team building and development though skills management and MBO process
a. Identify and develop the skills required by the different members of the team recorded though the functional skills matrix.
b. Recommend the adoption / introduction of new techniques to improve efficiency / capability

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Significant demonstrable experience in the automotive industry.
• Has experience of leading a team through at least one new model launch.
• Has a demonstrated track record in managing systems feasibility analysis, with experience in both production and project environments.

• Understanding of properties, VW & BY PEP, TS16949 and vehicle launch methodologies
• Extensive Practical Knowledge in Problem Solving Techniques
• An Understanding of Dimensional Management Analysis
• Ability to Evaluate K and P times in Line with Manufacturing Business Strategy
• An Understanding of Measurement Techniques
• Hands on Knowledge of Dry Builds Conformation.
• Extensive Knowledge of Vehicle Build Processes

• Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related subject
• German speaking capability desirable.

Responsibility for ensuring that local Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed in order to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
