The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
•To ensure that manufacturing deliver module targets and requirements within the project and to ensure that manufacturing departments deliver their functional objectives/tasks to deliver Projects in line with PEP 48.
•To ensure manufacturing functional direction, reporting through KPI’s and module/project reviews.

1. To provide clear information between the module and the Manufacturing Function.
a. Conform to Manufacturing Strategy (e.g. Point of Fit, Level of Assembly, Make vs Buy, HPU, Design For Assembly, Design For Manufacture)
b. Quality (Manufacturing Audit Prognosis, RFT / DPV Prognosis)
c. People / Environment (Manning Density, Ergonomics, Level of Automation)
d. Attend appropriate forums to present key data for decision representing manufacturing.

2. Ensure delivery of functional targets for the Module
a. Resources, timing and planning
b. Manufacturing Strategy (Point of Fit, Level of Assy, Make vs Buy, HPU)
c. Quality (Audit Prognosis, Warranty Prognosis, RFT / DPV Prognosis)

3. Ensure alignment and communication between function and Module activities.
a. Cross-functional issue resolution
b. Information share within Function and Project
c. Decision making within the limits of authority

4. Work as part of Manufacturing Project Leaders 1st line team to ensure project delivery.
a. Develop appropriate networks within Project and Function to ensure efficient communication/problem resolution.
b. Assist and/or lead cross-functional complex problem resolution as appropriate.
c. Make suitable decisions on behalf of Manufacturing, with appropriate levels of consultation and escalation.

5. Improve manufacturing quality & efficiency through identification and proposal of cross model / platform / business synergies specific to:
a. Methods
b. Tooling
c. Facilities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Demonstrable experience in automotive industries, cross functional team working.
• Excellent problem solving skills, 8D, 6 Sigma.
• Good Interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
• Cross functional knowledge and influencing skills are a key part of this role
• Microsoft Products, Excell, Power Point & Word
• Working Knowledge of CATIA V5 & DELMIA

• Good “networks” across functions
• Ability to develop processes and solutions across
• Good working knowledge of group systems, including PEP.
• Strong understanding of problem solving, the key individuals and forums where it is managed.
• Good understanding of the company Production System.
• Understanding of 1st tier supplier businesses to support ‘make vs buy’ decisions.
