The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
The production facility is uniquely positioned, as it is the only facility that specialises in wood interior. We process natural materials, applying new technologies to traditional techniques in order to deliver best in class wood interiors. There are diverse technologies within our facility hence we are looking for engineers with experience of 5 axis CNC machines, robotics, die presses, spray booths or lacquer flatting and polishing.


Consultancy, development and improvement of processes for manufacturing areas
Planning of manufacturing processes and equipment
Lead operative Quality improvement activities
Collaboration with Engineering during Product Emergence Process to secure SOP (start of production)
Responsibility for achieving targets for series production and new models after SOP
Secure change control for e.g. engineering changes and production trials
Develop, enhance and maintain product documentation (e.g. process instructions, operative amendments, bill of materials, PFMEA)
Teach/set, improve and secure equipment processes
Act as an facilitator throughout the manufacturing process


Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
German language skills are beneficial


Ideally multi-year professional experience at OEM, Automotive Supplier with focus on interior or industry processing wood materials
Require sound practical knowledge of manufacturing processes but ideally you will have experience of the processes involved in automotive wood manufacture i.e. veneer forming, sanding, lacquering application, lacquer flatting and polishing
Experience of improving processes for 5 axis CNC machining, lasers, robots, spray booths or auto-polishers would be an advantage
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to lead and coordinate cross functional teams
Good knowledge in Lean Production, Continuous Improvement and Industrial Engineering preferred
Takes ownership of problems and sees them through to a conclusion
Cost conscious
Structured and self-dependant way of working
High level of analytical skills and ability to understand and develop different manufacturing concepts
Team player and good communication skills
Self-confident personality and emanate authority
