The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role offers a great opportunity for an engaged and enthusiastic individual to deep dive into quality concerns and improve supplier performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of products and commodities. They will lead and assist in the implementation of robust containment's and drive suppliers towards fully validated problem resolution. The individual will be expected to manage associate Supplier Quality Assurance inspectors and containment company staff and supplier representatives. Key responsibilities will be to resolve product concerns through a thorough root cause analysis, an immediate implementation of containment action (s) and a timely supplier verification of the permanent corrective action. Manage and coordinate cross functional working teams as required to improve supplier related quality issues. The role will require daily attendance to all key functional meetings and participation in specific workshops and activities to support the manufacture of engines

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Diesel and petrol engine parts and systems knowledge
2. Significant problems solving skills. Ability to use all standard problem tools and analytical techniques (8D/PPS). Six sigma data analysis skills.
3. Computer literate, excellent verbal and written communicator. Able to manage and coordinate complex problems and manage workshops deliver results and outcomes.

Vehicle and engines manufacturing experience and or a similar manufacturing environment that can be transferred to the EMC processes. Assembly lines, machining, CMM, laboratory, calibration, gauging methods and equipment, error proofing, torque control, auditing, dynomometor, engines tear down, control plans, FMEA's, understand critical and significant characteristics, Can read drawings and understands tolerancing methods. Understands stock control, FIFO principles, PPAP and part Warrant methods, SAP and master data management.

Degree or HND or HNC in engineering or manufacturing related
