The Company:
Our client looking for Marine Advisor

The Role:
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Support and understudy Marine Superintendent in managing support vessel contracts/requirements and providing marine support for all COMPANY marine activities.

MAIN JOB DUTIES

Assist with:
- Contract Management of Marine Support Vessel contracts including but not limited to the following:
o Implementation of OIMS Contractor oversight and OIMS 8-1 processes
o Contractor safety stewardship.
o Establishment of quality assurance program and its implementation
o Work with Procurement on contract actions for all marine support vessel contracts and DK Marine General Services.
o Periodic visits to marine operational sites and vessels to verify SMS implementation
o Coordinating planning for repair periods
o Stewarding on/off-hire process
o Stewardship of Contract costs
- Stewarding vessel schedules and fuel bunkering
- Stewarding marine fuel bunker scheduling
- Periodic review of Contractor and COMPANY Marine Procedures (DK and Logistics), IBEV Escort Procedures administered by FESCO and bunkering procedures.
- Development and implementation of marine procedures for new projects/operations.
- Providing support post any tanker or support vessel incident with communication via IMT and incident review, investigation and action implementation.
- Providing technical input/support for long term marine strategies and support Lifting Group commercial evaluations
- Developing and stewarding bid process for new hires.
- Providing technical marine support for Marine Transportation and all other COMPANY marine activities
- Identify cost efficiency and reduction opportunities and provide leadership for implementation.
- Actively participating in and supporting coordination / agenda development for annual Ship Owner meeting.
- Attending Lifting and Transportation Seminar meetings with Co-Venturers depending on extent of technical / long term strategy items being reviewed.
- Providing Marine input during emergency response plan activation
- Involvement in Marine Transporation risk assessments, HAZOPs and risk screening and support for action item closure.
- Acting as Deputy for Marine Supervisor/Marine Superintendent during periods of absence.

Other Responsibilities may include:
- Weekend telephone coverage for operational integrity
- Other duties as required and determined by Department in accordance with applicable rules and regulations
- Employee is responsible for conscientious performance of his/her duties in accordance with Russian Labor Code

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Master Mariners licence
- Extensive Marine experience as support vessel / tanker Captain or Senior officer

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
- Keen desire to learn;
- Strong self initiative
- Strong communication skills
- Strong technical judgment and marine technical knowledge
- Understanding of basic Production operations
- Understanding of transportation agreements
- Ability to work with project management and JV partners in multi-company business environment

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience in vessel and marine office operations
