The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Marine and Seismic Operations Assurance Advisor to support and coach contractor leadership in addressing unsafe behaviours and conditions in the workplace by observing and interacting with the workforce.
To fulfil these job functions, the HSE QC will:

• Participate in and support contractor safety programs and initiatives, such as JSA’s, Unsafe Act Auditing and Cross Inspections.
• Develop a good working relationship with Contractor HSE advisors and senior personnel onboard the vessel.
• Participate in and evaluate all drills and make recommendations to improve these drills as appropriate.
• Enhance effectiveness of the risk assessment process, participating in job planning meetings and audits.
• Track remedial actions developed to correct reported hazardous incidents or conditions to ensure timely closure of actions.
• Perform at least one Safety Observation Conversation (SOC) per week and foster the development of behaviour based safety management skills and a positive safety culture within the crew.
• Communicate pertinent best practices, lessons learned, safety and environmental alerts.
• Track Client and contractor HSE performance indicators, reporting on a daily basis.
• Track waste handling for compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations if required
• Provide feedback on compliance with, and effectiveness of any Marine Mammal observation programme and airgun ramp up/shut down processes to ClientSeismic Project Manager.
• Fully comply with Client’s “Seismic and Survey Field Representative - HSE Leadership Standard”, including requesting performance feedback at the end of the project from Contractor Party Chief and Client Seismic Project Manager.
• Provide monthly HSE summary report to Client Seismic Project Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Certain number of years relevant experience working in the seismic industry.
• Many number of years experience working in HSE systems.
• Holder of NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
• Familiar with Client’s Operating Management System (OMS) and the 8 Golden rules.
• Fully cognizant of the project HSE Plan.
• Competent to conduct Safety Observation Conversations, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Proactive in assuring delivery of the project HSE performance targets.
• Physically capable of performing essential tasks aboard seismic vessels (stair climbing, grasping and lifting objects of up to 50 pounds, etc.) and have acceptable vision and hearing.
• Current Offshore survival certification, including HUET.
