The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
The Subsea Construction Team Lead is responsible for the management of the DSV offshore operations.
To manage and deliver the DSV Operations scope of work for project to ensure delivery promises are achieved by developing installation requirements and implementing agreed installation methods in a safe and efficient manner.


• Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes.
• Maintain awareness and promote project goals in respect of HSE, Budget, Schedule, and Technical Integrity.
• Provide direction, motivation, support and leadership to both internal staff and external contractors.
• Responsible for ensuring the installation contractor delivers a competent organisation and a high standard of resources to successfully execute the work.
• Responsible for managing contractor project execution performance and scope delivery.
• Maintain awareness and promote conformance to GPO expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the Pipelines Construction Team and the Contractors.
• Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the GPO, Operating. Management System (OMS), including Risk Management, continuous improvement and Management of Change.
• Maintain awareness and promote project goals in respect of HSE, Budget, Schedule, and Technical Integrity.
• Promote an effective and collaborative working environment with a ‘One Team’ approach.
• Maintain close contact with the company Construction Management network to ensure relevant lessons and practices are evaluated for applicability to project and implemented as appropriate.
• Responsible for ensuring project lessons learned are captured and shared with the GPO.

Construction Management

• Manage the execution of the daily DSV operations.
• Manage the vessel operations to complete the offshore execution.
• Assure vessel(s) capability to complete the offshore works and manage vessel readiness.
• Build and lead a high performance team to facilitate successful delivery of the offshore execution.
• Manage the Company representatives (CVR) on the DSV.
• Participate in developing the installation schedule for all diving based installation activities, including identifying schedule requirements for scope of diving equipment supply covering qualification, manufacturing, testing and delivery to support project schedule.
• Provide support to the M&SS PMs in the execution of the vessel upgrades.
• Manage communication with the offshore vessel team and the marine operations team to ensure rigorous tracking of safety performance, schedule progress and SIMOPS planning.
• Provide support to the Project Managers to deliver safe efficient execution of the offshore activities.
• Manage the execution schedule for the offshore activities and support the integrated marine schedule.
• Ensure company construction and site management processes are in place.
• Work closely with the appropriate project teams to resolve conflicts in the overall interest of the project delivery.
• Keep the Project Managers informed of the key issues within the area of responsibility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering degree and professional status accreditation with a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 10years experience of general offshore construction and subsea operations.
• Proven experience of DSV and diving related scopes.
• Proven capability of building and leading successful teams.
• Experience with site management activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues.

• Exhibits understanding of company practices and the latest international standards that assure integrity of installation and construction quality.
• Proactively demonstrates sophisticated decision-making and leadership skills needed to address complex stakeholder groups and issues associated with Major Projects.
• Ability to intervene in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required result.
• A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Self-motivated.
• Computer literate.
