The Company:
Leading integrated energy company. A major player in exploration and production, power generation & trading they use their strong brands and distinctive assets and capabilities to achieve success in their chosen markets.
This role is working for our clients Renewble Energy - Wind Farm business.

The Role:
Our client currently provides operation and maintenance for onshore and offshore wind generation assets.
Marine Co-ordination is an essential service provided across development, construction and operations of offshore assets. Due to the fast growing nature our clients Renewables business the role holder will be required to adopt a flexible approach to work, collaborating with a wide range of teams and on a wide range of assets.

Member of a shift team supplying 24/7 services to the offshore wind farms. This role is night shift, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.

Role Purpose:
Supervision and control of all marine and vessel activities to/from and within the Wind Farms areas and acting as the point of reference in offshore emergency situations.
Ensuring that marine activities relating to wind farm fields are managed, coordinated and maintained safely and to the highest standards of Marine regulation and good practice.
The job holder will work closely with managers and teams from across the Renewables business and external parties such as MCA, coastguard, environment agency etc. Excellent communication skills are required.

Key duties:
Marine liaison between Contractors and Client.
Prepare, issue and maintain field passes together with site inductions.
Management and control of vessel field entry/exit.
Field Weather forecasting and weather watch.
Service Vessel coordination and personnel tracking.
Monitoring, use and operational maintenance of essential marine management systems such as wave rider and Vis Sim tracking systems.
Contact with Marine Bodies (MCA/Coastguard/Harbour Authorities/Admiralty Hydrographic Dept/Trinity House.).
Maintenance of safety policies.
Undertake service vessel audits (general sea worthiness).
Input and comment on marine issues across the business as required.
Work with HS & E Team for marine document/process reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Marine background and offshore experience (To include license to operate VHF & UHF radio equipment) and also radar qualified.
Demonstrable knowledge of Meteorology and hazards it presents.
Excellent Communication skills.
Understanding of Wind Farm operating systems and requirements.
Safety Awareness.
Emergency response and co-ordination.
