The Role:
General Responsibilities:
Work in accordance to Company SLA.
Work in compliance with Company Operations procedures.
Attend daily morning call and meeting and ensure any requirements resulting from meeting are dealt with.
Issue daily reports.
Identify vessel requirements.
Monitor vessel service, including safety performance.
Scheduling and routing of vessels ensuring optimisation of vessel contracting scheduling, control and co-ordination against management performance targets and without compromising safety, production or drilling operation.
Maintaining current crew lists for all vessels on hire.
Fleet co-ordination, control and optimisation.
Monitoring and co-ordinating contracted vessel and broking services.
Communicating with vessels on a daily basis.
Ensure contracted vessels complete Company's vessel Voyage Reports for VMS entry.
Minimising, (as far as practically possible), onshore and offshore vessel standby (non-productive) time.
Liaise with Company Logistics Provider to prioritise materials delivery and backload cargoes against customer’s installation programmes.
Supply Company Logistics Provider up-to-date information on vessel activity and highlighting offshore initiated priority requirements, or requests for changes to voyage programmes.
Liaise with the Company's contracted 3rd party services as necessary, particularly the Logistics Provider’s Inbound and Outbound Shipping Processes to ensure that vessel and materials loading/discharging interfaces are robust and optimised.
Liaise with the Company’s Logistics Provider with respect to vessel discharging, loading, ETA’s, ETD’s and weather delays to facilitate port operation and vessel planning.
Liaise with the Company’s contracted Logistics Provider to determine optimum contracted vessel utilisation together with any additional contracted vessel needs.
Undertaking routine contracted vessel visits as directed to discuss Comapny vessel operational matters and ensuring any marine operations issues are captured and addressed in a timely manner.
Liaise with the Company’s Logistics Provider (Quayside and Shipping Groups) regarding fuel loading and scheduling.
Approve the bunkering of any contracted spot-hire vessel bunker request.
Liaise with relevant installations, in respect of forecast or existing adverse weather conditions and associated vessel operations schedules.
Co-ordinate and communicate between offshore installations, vessels, and Company’s Logistic Provider to minimise vessel voyage times without compromising safety or installation programmes.
Provision of daily vessel reports and out of hours duty rota’s/notification.
Act as first point of contact for the resolution of queries and discrepancy reports raised as a result of adverse impact on operations
Recording deficiencies or non-conformances and corrective action close out

Spot Chartering
Determine the Company vessel contracting needs.
Liaise with the Company's contracted Shipbroker to ensure the Shipbroker workscopes are undertaken in accordance with their contracted scope of work, including the Shipbrokers responsibilities to arrange Marine Inspections and the retention of an electronic survey database of same.
Arrange for the contracting of all vessels in strict accordance with procedure which includes:

• Ensure the Vessel owner is CHESM rated.
• Ensure the Template of Data is completed and information reviewed for suitability.
• Ensure all contracted vessels are inspected and audited in accordance with procedure.
• Ensuring that all Vessel crews are briefed with the OE expectations presentation and posters.
• Issue Company Guidelines for Vessel Masters.
• Ensuring Company ‘Guidance for Vessel Masters’ Manual is placed aboard every contracted vessel, by Caompany On/Off Hire Consumables and Documentation Surveyor.
• Ensuring auditing and Survey of contracted vessels via competent 3rd party contractors.
• Liaison with the Marine Expert as requires to ensure that vessel assurance requirements are met.

Marine Operations Duty
The Company Operations staff can be contactable on a 24/7 basis to support any company Member who may require Marine Operations services in the event of an emergency.
Respond appropriately to any Company Member’s emergency call-out by reporting to the Marine Operations office as/if required.
Contacting Company Shipbroker as required (vessel availability).
Contact relevant Company Members as required (for additional assistance).
Contact Company Logistics Provider as required (vessel loading/unloading).
Contact Port Authorities as required (vessel arrivals, departures or movements).
Liaise/instructing contracted vessel Masters as necessary.
Send out daily reports

Maintain records of all activities and transactions of the Group.
Assist administrator when required
Undertake tasks as required, as designated by Marine Operations Team Lead
Marine Operations staff shall ensure they remain familiar with all Company contracted 3rd party services interfaces, together with identifying any emerging interface issues that may (or have the potential to) compromise Marine Operations efficiency, or safety.
Ensure sufficient handover for leave periods including TDO.
