The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking a Marine Control Room Technician to join the offshore operations team. The ability to work in a diverse and multinational environment will be a key attribute of the successful candidates. Applications are welcomed from all nationalities however it should be noted that under Angolan law, expatriates are permitted to work in Angola for a maximum of three years. All international applicants (expatriates) will be selected on the understanding that, due to these work permit restrictions, it will be a maximum 3 year posting in Angola.

The key focus for this installation will be to continue to deliver both the core operations and safety requirements as well as the development and mentoring of the national workforce as the asset moves through its next phase of delivery.
Maintain HSE compliance at all stages of the work scope

• Lead day to day planning and execution of all Marine activities.

• Assist in the development mentoring and competency sign off of the Angolan technicians.

• Support Marine Team for training, development and competence assessment of the Angolan Technician trainees

• Participate in task base risk assessments and provide technical input (Marine) where necessary

• Act as part of the Emergency Response Team member as required.

• Respond to equipment Breakdowns and ensure work is executed in line with ISSOW/SIRP standards.

• Work with the commissioning team to ensure all equipment and systems are fully commissioned.

• Assist in implementation of the Offshore Technical Integrity strategy.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of Safe systems of Work including permit to work, maintenance management systems, planning and risk assessments (Essential).
Experience in working with vendors and performance feedback.
Extensive knowledge of Marine Systems and Shipping.
Experience in working with different cultures
Certificate of Competency (Deck) STCW95 OOW 500+, with a dangerous cargo endorsement for Oil

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
It is preferred but not essential that the candidate will have previous experience of:
Offshore Operations on a Floating, Production Storage & offloading installation.
A Maximo user.
Working overseas in a multicultural environment
Experience of major project commissioning.
Experience of major project operational readiness.
