The Role:
• Responsible for delivering a project free from incidents, injuries and environmental harm.
• Assist with the progression of the ASV NOPSEMA safety case including progressive review upon feed back from NOPSEMA
• Prepare industrial relations overview of current trends of vessels operating in the NWS Australia
• Manage marine scope of work to meet project resources, budget and schedule requirements
• Ensure vessels to be used for HUC scope are compliant with COMPANY regulations regarding asbestos and noise level limits
• Ensure compliance to vessel owners project deliverables, procedures, drawings and programs are delivered in line with contract.
• Provide strategic and proactive resolution to issues identified relating to vessel construction and marine operations
• Provide assistance to vessel owner on australian customs and vessel entry requirements
• Be fully aware on Australian Customs (AQUIS) requirements and vessel entry to austalian waters
• Manage interfaces between vessel owner and COMPANY
• Management of PSV selection, contract execution and PSV logistics during the offshore HUC phase.
• Ensure all statutory permits and approvals are identified and implemented prior to commencement of work
• Participate in vessel audits and inspections as required
• Review subcontractors vessel build schedule to ensure all activities have been included including the delivery of the major equipment
• Contract owner for ASV and PSV contract's and manage execution of marine related works.
• Interface with ASV owner's and builder to ensure vessel is delivered on schedule,highligting negative trends and promoting actions to recover schedule slippages.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 Years experience with relevant qualifications as Master Mariner / Chief Engineer and or Naval Architect
Engineering Degree
All offshore related certificates and licences
Previous offshore marine construction vessel management
Previous experience with AQUIS requirements & vessel clearance into Australian Waters
Previous experience in shipyard construction of DP - ASV's or similar vessels
Supervisor / Management Training (Cert IV in frontline Management) desireble
