Marine Coordinator(Malaysian & Regional expatriates)

The Role:
-Responsible for logistical coordination of marine requirement in support of all functional departments and managing marine related contract in order to ensure all costs are kept within budget set.
-Coordinate communication with functional departments in terms of Marine vessel requirement (mainly DPO, DPD, DPE, offshore platform, drilling rig and SSB), external stakeholders including Share Holders, MTJA and Marine Authorities.
-Develop and Propose options and provide multiple strategies for integrated marine vessels and utilization for economies of scale implement and enforce continuous improvement program for marine operations.
-Administer short and long term marine vessel strategy paper, change order and any other related papers for the marine vessels for company management and relevant authority’s approvals i.e. Shareholders and MTJA.
-Develop scope of work and pricing structure for marine vessels requirements, conduct technical and review commercial evaluations for recommending the most technically suitable vessel by the most competitive vendor for company operations.
-Collect and analyze data on marine vessels cost activities and ensure reports generated are accurate and timely to facilitate decision making as to ensure meting budget set.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Possess B.Sc in Nautical Studies OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or graduate from ALAM or other equivalent institute.
-Having Certificate of Competencies (COC) from Malaysia Marine Department
-Having sailing experience
-Having BOSET shall be an added advantage
-Must be computer literate
-Ability to dissect complex problems and demonstrate broader understanding beyond a single business/function.
-Clear long-term focus and demonstrate integrity and personal commitment to organization goals and values.
-Strong leadership attributes with good facilitating and influencing skills, including willingness to challenge and encourage dialogue with consensus building.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate well through the various levels of the organization.
-High degree of commercial awareness with good understanding of the impact of various factors on business.
