The Company:
Our client is a major oil and gas company within Australia and is the largest producer of gas to the domestic market within the country. Active for more than 40 years, they have the largest exploration portfolio by area and are currently listed as one of Australia's Top 30 Companies.

The Role:
As the Marine Offloading Facilities (MOF) Operation Manager, you will report to the Project Manager Port Development and drive and organize all activities relating to the MOF operation and contract management in order to achieve company’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Establish and make operational the necessary maritime services agreements and protocols to enable operation of Marine Off-loading Platform.
• Planning and produce a “three year budget” for the MOF operations.
• Produce a “three years utilization” plan and negotiate the plan with GPC and agree on the excess capacity of the MOF to be used by third parties.
• Plan and procure three year maintenance services for the MOF to ensure efficient maintenance at optimum cost.
• Ensure revenue recovery from third party use of the MOF.
• Act as contract owner for the MOF Agreement.
• Institutes measures to ensure that first time calling vessels are compatible to the MOF by regularly directing for a compatible study, inspection and operational review.
• Safe, correct and efficient operations of the vessels by regularly reviewing their performance and recommend corrective actions to ensure the operations are efficient and smoothly carried out.
• Establish and assist in the security requirements of the Marine Off-loading platform to meet the requirements of Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act, 2003.
• Regularly setting priorities and guiding the subordinates to achieve optimum performance in undertaking assigned duties to meet the company’s goals and objectives.
• Lead and manage the implementation of staff performance/competency development program in order to develop and upgrade staff performance and competencies to meet job requirements, policies and guidelines.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary and Marine Qualifications
• Contract negotiation skills
• Demonstrated Shipping Operational experience
• Experience and knowledgeable with the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act, 2003
• Substantial experience with managing marine operations including liaison with port and regulatory authorities, shipping companies and port services companies.
